Fager Anna is the ideal choice If you would describe your horse as the following;
Sticks the tongue out/chew frantically at the bit.
Develops cuts, sores, and rubs easily at the corners of the mouth.
Gets high in the neck, strong, but still sensitive, and needs a framed feeling.
Fager Anna is a single-jointed bit incorporating Fager’s Smart System FSS™, an innovative design which creates a unique three-way locking system to prevent the bit from overbending which can cause discomfort and pain.
The key difference between regular lockups and FSS™ is more significant than you might initially think as the FSS™ continues to work through all head positioning.:
When working in a low position (e.g. stretching out) or a higher position (e.g. over a jump), the closure continues to work, even if the reins pull the bit upwards; making the bit turn downwards – this is where a regular lockup would fail. Therefore our FSS™ is considerably more forgiving against any unexpected movements of your hands.
This design is an ideal choice for sensitive-mouthed horses who easily cut, rub and bruise.
The Baby Pelham sidepiece creates a frame feeling for horses who have a tendency to become unstable but still strong.
We recommend using the Baby pelham with a delta bridle or two reins, one in the large fixed ring and one in the small ring.
With two reins, you can easily regulate how much leverage you want from the bit by shortening, or lengthening, the rein that is attached to the bottom ring. With more leverage, you get a slightly lower neck and more effect, with less leverage you can get the horse a bit higher in the neck with less effect. If you use Fager’s adjustable delta, you have the same choice without having to use 2 reins.
This unique design acts as a curb version of a Baucher bit.
